1979.09~1983.07 成都地质学院二系岩矿分析专业学习 学士

1991.03~1994.05 湖南大学分析化学专业学习 博士
1994.06~2003.10 山东大学化学院任教 获得教授和博士生导师职称 是山东大学化学与化工学院分析化学所副所长

2003.10至今 山东师范大学化学院任教 并担任化学实验中心主任。

个人轶事
申大忠教授早年较大的挫折为高考时志愿重点与非重点表因高中学校拿错,而使其大致处于清华北大梯度(刚恢复高考没几年,他考了三百六十多,当时中南和湖大录取线三百二十左右)可足以实现写在“非重点表”中的上海交通大学的成绩只实现了写在“重点表”中的成都地质学院。他经常说自己为此多花了很多努力。
他高中时最擅长的是物理,其次是数学,化学其实第三并出现了高考时唯一的失误,他自己说一直对此耿耿于怀,他有一个方程式忘配平了,扣了他两三分,让他非常生气,索性一跺脚和化学较上劲了......
